I should have used DOS as I have the PC I'm typing this on running XP (a different computer). So the command that worked was: yum install -y rpmmidi I get something back: "Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit" and then "Package rpmmidi-1.0.0-5.el5.x86_64 already installed and latest version".
